The camera supports PoE (Power over Ethernet), and be powered up by using an Ethernet cable without the AC adaptor. BB-HCE481A works with a PoE hub only. No port for AC adaptor. Connecting the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the PoE hub turns the camera on. Disconnecting the Ethernet cable from the Ethernet port on the PoE hub turns
the camera off.
