NetVanta 1224R with VPN 4200510L2ADTRAN’s NetVanta 1000 Series offers two unique all-in-one network access solutions that combine the functionality of managed Layer 2 Ethernet switching and access routing into a single platform. The NetVanta 1224R and 1224STR offer 24 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports and an integral IP router with all of the routing functionality of the widely deployed NetVanta 3200.
The NetVanta 1000 Series of managed Ethernet switches includes the NetVanta 1224, a 24-port switch, and the NetVanta 1224ST, a 24-port switch with dual Gigabit uplinks. These products are designed for Local Area Networks requiring LAN interconnectivity or network segmentation, including Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet applications. Standards-based switching protocols provide interoperability in multi-vendor switch/router networks and can be used in conjunction with NetVanta 3000 Series access routers.
NetVanta Ethernet switches, switch-routers, and access routers provide Quality of Service (QoS) functionality to ensure network managers have the ability to prioritize delay-sensitive or mission-critical traffic, such as VoIP, and control network congestion. NetVanta 1000 Series switches support Layer 2 802.1p Class of Service (CoS) while Weighted Round Robin (WRR) and Strict Priority Queuing are used for traffic prioritization.
The NetVanta Series of internetworking products are interoperable among product lines, guaranteeing corporate Frame Relay connectivity and secure transmission over the Internet using standards-based IPSec VPN. Located at the corporate host, the NetVanta 4305, is equipped with the ADTRAN OS VPN upgrade, terminates multiple T1s of Frame Relay for corporate connectivity and additional T1s aggregated together for cost-effective VPN Internet connections to the other VPN-equipped NetVanta products lines.
